Dr. Danijela Lucic and I just published a new article on Sigma Metrics for Assessing Accuracy of Molecular Testing in the July issue of the Clinical Microbiology Newsletter.
My thanks to CM newsletter for getting this to print so quickly. When we look at how viral load assays are being used by clinicians, there's a critical need as well as a convenient application for Sigma-metrics. When you see a viral load spike, you want to be sure it's not just a blip, but something real in the body.
There's also an accompanying website called knowyoursigma.com [full disclosure: this is an Abbott Molecular Diagnostics site and I was compensated for my lectures that appear on this website]
