An interesting abstract was published at the Paris IFCC meeting. It detailed the EQA performance of a set of 12 public laboratories in Catalonia. Can you guess what the failure rate for these labs for biochemistry EQA?

If you attended the 2015 AACC/ASCLS annual exhibition, you may have had a harder time finding our booth. We were located at the intersection of secluded and out of view, behind the vast continent-sized booths of the few remaining diagnostic mega-manufacturers, at the far end of the hall.

Another shoe has dropped in the regulatory world. Recently, CDC/CMS issued their "how-to" guide for IQCPs, CAP dropped their checklist for IQCPs, and now the other major deemed accreditor has put out their IQCP guidelines: The Joint Commission.
