"The Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences (AMS) was formally established in 1966 as the Department of Medical Technology, Faculty of Medicine. In January 1976, it was granted a charter by the Ministry of University Affairs to become the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, and was designated as the 11th faculty of Chiang Mai University (CMU).
"The AMS-CSC has been improving and expanding its capacity continuously to provide better health care services to the general public. Our policy is to serve the public as a member of their families with international standards, technologies and modern equipment.
"The services are provided following the medical laboratory and the medical laboratory safety standards (ISO 15189 and ISO 15190 standards) from the collection of samples to issuing test results. We emphasize reporting laboratory results correctly, providing counseling service for testing results, interpretation and health care. In addition, the laboratory is a service unit of the National Health Security Office (NHSO)."
